The Bronx is the northernmost out of the five boroughs of New York. It is divided by the Bronx River into a hillier section of the west, closer to Manhattan and a flatter section on the east closer to Long Island. The name Bronx is derived from Jonas Bronck, who established one of the first settlements in the area as part of the colony of New Netherlands. In 1639 and through to the 19th and 20th century, many people from Europe, Latin America and Africa have migrated to the Bronx and since then, have called it home. This has resulted in one of the most diverse cultural melting pots in America. Book a stay at one of these great rentals in the Bronx New York.
