Dinosaur National Monument in Jenson, Utah, is a national park, popular for hiking and rafting. A cliff in the park contains dinosaur fossils, which can be seen embedded in the rocks. Another fascinating aspect to the park is a series of petroglyphs and pictographs, carved into and painted on to the rocks and created by the Fremont people. Among the pictures are humans, birds, sheep, lizards and snakes. River rafting is a great adventure in the park, on the Green and Yampa Rivers, where different levels of skill can be practiced. Guided tours are available with rangers in the park from May to mid-September. Enjoy browsing a selection of hotels and vacation rentals close to Dinosaur National Monument below.
